Casa Cantagallina is a large, 200-year-old farmhouse set on the edge of a tiny hamlet situated between Chiusi and Lake Trasimeno. The house has just been restored by its owners, who preserved its original terracotta floors, beamed ceilings and bricked archways, and added a large contemporary kitchen. The view is simply sensational, as it is from the swimming pool in the garden and the various patios and terraces on the two floors. These, together with the house's three indoor sitting rooms, make this an ideal setting for a large party with plenty of space for everyone to follow their own pursuits. There are hundreds of interesting villages sprinkled about these hills, each with its own prized feature. The area offers wonderful walking trails, boating on the lake, golfing on a choice of courses and horseback riding.
